May 2008

Some how I missed this one in the April blog! Lochlan was just learning how to walk!

In May, Lochlan and I went to Washington state for 2 weeks while John was in Guatemala on a humanitarian mission with the Army Reserve. We had a wonderful time. It is so great to reconnect with loved ones and friends.

Lochlan giving Papa a kiss!

Hugs and Kisses are so nice!

Lochlan is quite enthusiastic about most anything with wheels!

Meeting a dog named Budda...

Getting ready for the get-together and wondering why he can't help Papa wash the motorcycles!

Decked out in farm gear for a walk!

Goofing around on the floor with "Mami"!

Aunt Patty was great sport about fooling around on the floor with the little man!

I just love this one! We were having such a good time!

This basketball was as big as Lochlan, but he was determined to pick it up! He did succeed...eventually!

Molly giving Lochlan an education in sound! He was enthralled!

The day before Mother's Day I went with Maggie Reich to pick Jordan up from college. Lochlan stayed with Uncle Mark and Aunt Patty, and they say that he was so good form them. Must be why I had a little terror the next day...

Happy Mother's Day!

Lochlan is obsessed with skin and he "checks" everyone to make sure they have theirs. Here he is checking to make sure Aunt Patty's skin is intact...

Getting ready to take a walk. I love that we can see Ms. Cow in the background!

First beaters ever!! He was thrilled!

So thrilled I don't even think he offered any to Uncle Mark!

Jordan at college. He is in the Color Guard for the Air Force ROTC at his college.

Lochlan playing with the same toys I did when we were at the Reich's!

He loved playing in the kiddie playhouse under the stairs at the Reich's!

Of course the car cart at Safeway was a HUGE hit!! He had such a blast 'driving' the car!

When we were in Washington Dad was living with Jeff Walters, who has a cat... And somehow Lochlan thought that the cat food was a treat for Lochlan. Before I noticed this little scene he had already eaten a few and had quite a few more in his mouth! He was very content with himself!

"Can I keep eating them?"

Crystal with Lochlan, who had just shoved about 1/2 a banana in his mouth! Just for the photo, I am sure!

While in Washington a bubble machine was purchase and Lochlan thought that the bubbles were the coolest thing ever!

Loving the bubbles!

Aunt Patty and I had just about as much fun watching Lochlan and Lochlan did with the bubbles!

He is such a red-head in this picture!

So, so happy to finally be out of the car after 10 hours!!

Thank you so much for looking at and enjoying our blog!

John, Lochlan, and I went to Washington D.C. at the end of April. John reenlisted for 6 more years. It was the Army Reserve's 100th Anniversary, so it was a huge deal!! Washington D.C., was so amazing!! I loved the architecture! The huge building.... WOW.... We took a tour of the Pentagon and Arlington Cemetery, very cool. John and I went to an Army Ball, so we got all dressed up for the occasion. I was so sick!!!! and John was getting sick!!!!! but we had a wonderful time. On the way back to Aberdeen the pilot was inexperienced, so we were unable to land due to poor visibility and had to fly back to Minneapolis. We stayed a night in Minneapolis at a hotel... We were so glad when we finally made it back to Aberdeen!!! What an adventure....
