These are pictures from our day to day life, so they are a bit random, but the captions should let you know the jist of what is going on...
Vroom, Vroom
March was a busy month for us!! We had Army Reserve drill for John. All of us go to Fargo for this event!! I really look forward to going! We get to visit with Crystal, Hunter, Nate, and now Natalie too!! We usually will get a visit from Pops while we are there as well. They just happened to match this time....One of the major events of March was planning and having our St. Patrick's Day Party in our apartment. We had a really great time!! Had lots of green food and yellow curry (for the Irish flag) It was really fun!! I am looking forward to hosting more parties in the future!! To make it festive and more than one of our impromptu gatherings we got green headbands for the girls and felt hats for the boys. It was really funny, because some of the guys loved wearing their hats and some barely tolerated them!! It seemed like none of the girls minded wearing the headbands for the festivities. We were such a large group that we split up for two games, Risk and Taboo. It was a good time....
One thing I really enjoy having are impromptu gatherings with my friends on week nights when nothing is really going on. This night we got together to play a card game, but got distracted with Lochlan and some balloons. Thus this night has become the night of the "Balloon Party". Lochlan is usually outnumbered by females when hanging out with Mom and friends when Daddy is working. This night there was alot more testosterone than he is used to and he LOVED it!!! He got to wrestle, a piggyback ride, adn he went to get coffee with just the boys!! We did manage to play cards after Lochlan went to bed. And of course, anyone who was unable to attend the St. Patty's Day Party had to get a picture with the hat...
John, Lochlan, and the balloons
Lochlan was dedication at our church on March 16, 2008. Pops and Patty were able to come to Aberdeen to witness his dedication. Lochlan was really good while we were up at the front of the congregation. He didn't give very many loud proclamations... After church we were invited to eat at the Inches (Rachel Flaningan's family). Lochlan fell in love with an animated horse.
Lochlan received his first haircut this month. It was a bitter sweet event for me. It is not as obvious in the pictures, but taking a an inch or two of hair made him look so much more like a little boy and less like my baby... It was quite the adventure trying to cut his hair with the clippers while Lochlan is trying to see what is buzzing by his ear!!
His bottom two teeth came in February and I really don't have a good picture of them. You can see them slightly in the tooth brush picture.
The Shriner's annual Circus came to Aberdeen in March. I don't remember ever having been to one and it was Lochlan's first time going to a circus as well!! We had a blast!! Lochlan really liked when they turned the lights off in the stadium and all the cups and necklaces that had LED light in them were going off. His favorites seemed to be the elephants and the ponies!! He kept pointing at the elephants and trying to say stuff to us!! He was really upset about having to get off the pony after his ride was over. He kept signing "More,More", but we couldn't go again...
